Marking the first combined demonstration of America's defense team's progress under the unification act of 1947, Armed Forces Day was first celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 1950.
Armed Forces Day, alongside its branch-specific variants often referred to as Army or Soldiers Day, Navy or Sailors Day, and Air Force or Aviators Day, is an opportunity to express our profound gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country.
