Kane Scores 36th Goal as Bayern Falls to Stuttgart
England Captain Levels with Penalty
In a surprising turn of events, Bayern Munich suffered a 3-1 defeat to VfB Stuttgart at the MHPArena. Despite Harry Kane scoring his 36th Bundesliga goal of the season, the German giants were unable to secure victory.
Penalty Conversion
Kane's goal came from the penalty spot in the 55th minute, after Serge Gnabry was brought down inside the box. The England captain calmly slotted home the equalizer, giving Bayern hope of a comeback.
However, Stuttgart proved too strong on the day, with goals from Borna Sosa, Chris Fuhrich, and Silas Katompa Mvumpa sealing the win for the home side.
The result sees Bayern Munich drop to second place in the Bundesliga table, three points behind leaders Union Berlin. Bayern will be looking to bounce back in their next league fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on February 25th.
